Was dreaming up ways to fill the cv outs and the big right-hand gap on my AK and I thought a little video synth might be a cool addition. Anyone else thinking the same thing? ideas from experienced video wigglers? I don’t particularly like the super glitchy 8-bit game-y looking stuff.
That sounds like a rather good idea; I have no experience of such things at all, but I bet it could be fun.
Would this be the sort of result you’re thinking of achieving?:
for sure! I don’t really have a strong opinion on the video aesthetic, but didn’t like the one project I found on kickstarter. just reminded me of a broken nintendo game. …bad memories. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/218568730/video-equations-colour-video-synthesizer
I’m more motivated by a form factor that fits nicely on the AK and using at least 2 CV outs. the other two could route to a synth one day I suppose. Sold my nord drum!
Yeah, that looks a little bit too digital, though that can have its pleasures too, I guess.
There is something called the 3TrinsRGB-1c. Ive looked into it a bit, there is healthy discussion about video synthesis on a muffwiggler subforum. I feel ya, it would be such a fun way to match a visual to a sound on the AK/A4
Cool! Checking it out now! Thanks!
All other 'nautical suggestions welcome in the meantime!
