It was here but I’ll double with my thoughts/vision:
the Note Pitch modulation source. And the possibility to modulate LFO(s) speed by NotePitch with different scales (Lin/Exp). Thus will get some sort of classic FM-ability for oscillators and filters.
I might be wrong but I think none of the Elektron boxes can transmit the midi received from the USB Midi In to the Midi DIN Out. That would be a hell of a feature. Imagine an A4 Midi Host.
With LFO in pitch mode (tuning fork icon) its speed is linked to its corresponding OSC (e.g. LFO 1’s speed is controlled by OSC 1’s pitch) – so you can get faster LFOs by increasing its OSC’s pitch.
Need to do more tests, but 1k and TUN at 32 seems to be unity, so not much higher ranger left. Also, I’m not sure about the accuracy. I’ve re-calibrated the oscillators, but it seems not quite perfect. I guess it’s the analog nature of the OSCs.
I’ve also been struggling to find information about the specifics of LFO tuning for FM and have had limited success finding tonal sweet spots by ear. So far, the FM is great for percussion and general weird dissonance, though. Anecdotally, it does seem to work better on the filters than the oscillators. There is probably a thread about it somewhere; I just haven’t found it yet.
Ability to change the notes of an arp with a trigless trig (is it a bug ?)
In the MIX screen, add a small vu-meter. I think it’s not always simple to quickly know which track is playing which sounds. Am I missing a way ? You can always check the trigs in grid rec mode, but with trig conditions, it’s not always obvious.
+1 for P-lockable ARP parameters! We can’t fake ratchets.
Only by sacrificing the whole track for ratcheted sounds.
Also it would be cool to see an increased BPM (up to 900). This will help in some different cases!
NotePitch parameter (for mods) globally necessary IMHO. It will open a lot of possibilities! Chromatic LFOs will bring some pseudo-FM features. It will be awesome!
