Auto portamento. This is such a basic feature. Crazy that this never got implemented during its 10 years existence.
-> portamento on/off + speed/time parameter

HP/BP/Notch mode for filter1. Filter2 LP mode generally sounds better compared to filter1 imho, bummer having to sacrifice its shaping possibilities because of that

probably not doable but some way to tame 500Hz-1,5K (besides Notch, does not always cut it) A4 can sound quite cold/hard in that freq zone and you have to work around it actively. imho one of the reasons why people dislike the A4 sound. Just dreaming and tecnically impossible but some kind of built-in 1 band TDR nova
Unfortunately it’s a hardware thing. It’s a 4 pole analog, low pass ladder filter in filter slot one and will forever remain that way. It would be nice to have it switchable, but you’d physically need a new circuit in the box. Unless elektron manage the circuit path via an FPGA or something, and route it to a digital filter. They wouldn’t though, as it would murder the selling point of “true, full, analog signal path” I guess.
hmm wouldn’t it depend on the FPGA implementation? this thread is interesting Convert non linear moog filter to hp filter - DSP and Plugin Development Forum - KVR Audio seems you can mix poles for different filter shapes with simple resistors/multiplexing. But yeah i also assume they’ve implemented it in a fixed 4 pole LP configuration.
Seems interesting, I’ll give that a wee read on my lunch break! Cheers for the link :).
Also, this is totally baseless speculation on my part, only elektron know for sure, they are wizards with this stuff. But the fact the circuit was tuned for better bass response on the MK2 and the MK1 didn’t get an upgrade to match heavily implies to me that it has to be a physical hardware circuit only IMO .
Tha’s an easy one for the MKI: YES + GLOBAL = Save project. And then, Y/N to save or discard. A fast way to save an entire project.
The same way that MKII and the Digi boxes save with FUNC + GLOBAL.
It’s a mess to save a project in MKI with FUNC + GLOBAL and then selecting “PROJECT” and then selecting “SAVE PROJECT AS…” and then selecting a slot, and then renaming (98% of the times leaving the same name).
