Does anyone know where I get good patches for virus C. Not the regular ones from the access website. Would be nice if someone can help. I specially searching for Chord and Pads.
It seems easy to find patches for sale. Are you looking for freebies not on the Access site?
ive been searching for free patches and for sale. I didn´t found good ones for sale they sound like trance
maybe i need to programm my own sounds but i like to work from a preset so it´s a little bit easier for me to get the results i want instead if i start with a noise.
Yeah that is the problem I have found as well. I do not like 90+% of what I hear. The sounds I make for myself are much more spacey/dubby/bass. The patches I make are a sort I don’t hear much of in demos of patch banks.
do you have a special tool for transmitting the patches? i use bome send fx but it´s only possible to save patches to bank a and b. there must be a way to sort the patches. ive found this one: Access Virus|HC AudioUnit can someone recommend this tool or have experiences?
There are a lot in there and free ones on the site it’s not for everyone but maybe skim them all pick your semi favorites and adjust to taste
I have a virus ti2 and I will say I hardly ever use it for bass
love the sound of the virus synths they have so much potential with a load of voices. The basses of my virus c are really close to a moog and they have the same filters. I own my Virus now over 17 years and would never give away this maschine
It def does moog great
They have moog replica patches on the site it called dirty something can’t remember been a while since I’ve messed with those I use it for pads & efx and occasionally hi hats
do you know if i can use patches from the ti to my virus c? i think that wouldn´t work.
Yes they do work but obviously sound different as the C doesn’t have all the extras that the TI has e.g. wavetables
good to know will try that these days. does anyone have an idea how can i sort my sounds in the banks? some years ago i had used emagic sounddiver but that tool doesn´t exist anymore.
There are a few third party editors with patch management for the old Virus’s.
There is one by Mystery Islands that is supposed to be pretty good. They have virtually copied the TI plugin’s functionality and appearance
Will check the mystery island demo as first and if it works ill give it a chance. It seems that problem is called my personal access overbridge
I use the Mystery Islands VirusHC vst and its great. I mainly use it for the librarian feature. Its really easy to organize your patches into banks of 128 patches and export each bank to a midi file (or sysx file). So as long as you organize those midi bank files with logical names you can quickly load from an unlimited number. I’m not sure, but unfortunately the demo makes it hard to try that feature. But it is well worth the low price of the vst and much better than a couple of free alternatives that I tried.
do you know if they accept paypal?
Yes. That is what I used.
they also offer an editor for the blofeld…very nice! I think i will buy both tools and my problems are past
I was also interested in the MI Editor. I ask the developer if its possible to pre-listening patches in the librarian - and he denied it. so its useless for me. I wanna load in a bank of presets in the top-window and have a empty bank at the bottom-window. than I want to pre-listen the presets and grab the good ones and put it into the empty bank. is this really not possible like the developer told me?
