Accessing the DVCO engine on Analog Rytm MK2?

Hi all,

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well these days.

I’ve been checking through some of the past threads and comments about the Rytm’s DVCO machine, including the manual, but can’t seem to find the answer I’m looking for.

I recently purchased an MK2 (which might explain the newbie question) Rytm, and have been trying to dive into the process for creating basslines to accompany the drums. However, when I look on the SRC page, I cannot find the “CFG” option – or basically any of the screens I’m seeing in the videos that detail the DVCO. For example, in Ricky Tinez’ video where he walks through how to use it, it appears as soon as he turns on the machine. No such luck for me.

I’ve also upgraded my OS this morning, so I don’t think it’s a matter of using an outdated version.

Apologies, but could anyone steer me in the right direction (or to a thorough resource) on how to fully utilize the DVCO? I’ve been hearing it provides great analog synth options for the Rytm, but I’m left scratching my head this morning on how to access.

Grateful for anyone patient enough to answer what might be an extremely obvious answer – but one that I possibly haven’t had enough coffee to find on my own.

Thanks so much.

You loaded the DVCO machine (double tap SRC and select machine), but you can’t see the cfg?

Dual VCO can only be loaded onto pads 1-4 (BD, SD, RS, CP).

Double tap the Src Button and scroll down with the arrow keys. There you can select the dvco “machine” and all the parameters you are looking for will be visible

Thank you both! I was able to access it after double-tapping SRC. After having a few minutes to play with it… Rytm can produce some fat bass sounds…wow.

Apologies for the silly question – can be tricky to connect the dots when learning a new machine.

Truly appreciate it
