Really nice. I love the atmosphere in this, and the harmonics are beautiful.
I do think you’re sort of ruining the mood when you bring in those slightly harsh arps around 1:00, just to throw them out half a minute later. I wonder if this piece might benefit from just dropping those drums, and those upbeat arps, and stay in the slower movement of things. And then you’re at it again around 2:00 and onwards. It’s not that I don’t like those parts - I do, I just think you’re selling the opening and closing vibe of the track short. It has a movement of its own that can carry the track, you don’t need all those drums, leads and arps.
Or maybe I should say, I don’t need them. It really is a subjective thing and I can see why the current structure of the track would appeal to many. It’s great as it is, I just really like what you’re doing at first and at the end, and would enjoy staying in that moment throughout the track.
But it’s good stuff, all the same.
I get your point and thought about the same things, but wanted a contrast to the softer sounds in the beginning.
Yeah, I think it works nice. As I mentioned, it comes down to taste, and I’m just a more mellow kind of guy if anything, it’s because I really liked what I heard that made me feedback on the piece.
