Any advice? Live setup configuration

Hi, Im a sound engineer/music producer and after years of producing, Im now about to perform live. Im not very experienced with Elektron gear, but some of my clients used it and I really liked the sound and quality of its effects (although the workflow didnt look so intuitive then, or is it?). As sound is the priority, Elektron is my first choice in samplers (or else) right now. My starter budget is 1200€.

Here is what Im after (example of what Im doing - https://goo.gl/Gtbxnu )
I would like to have one(!) piece of standalone(!) gear that allows me to run the following:

  1. Live vocal (Id mix it live)
1.1 I do need preamps with enough of power (I know I need to try that, but any experience?) Phantom power is not a neccesity, would be nice tho.
  2. Live guitar/instrument (Id mix it live)
2.1 I can not afford much latency anywhere here.
  3. Backing tracks (Id play backing track through)
  4. Triggering samples over backing track (up to 6 different samples per song/project)
  5. And at the same time, its important, that its easy to switch fast between songs/projects

I know I might be asking for a lot with this budget, but I do believe/hope there is something like that. And Im 99% NOT interested into overbridging and bringing computer into it. With bringing Ableton Live into this, Id need extra midi pads and extra interface, which bring latency, bunch of cables, routing and slower problem solving onto the stage.

Anyways, I was very interested in OT, but it seems like it has only one input, so I was wondering if there might be anything else, that fits my needs. What do you think is the best solution for me?

Thank you all and all the best,
Gasper

OT has 4 inputs…:+1:

You are very right. But still the questions remain and do you think OT has it all to fit my needs? Especially if you have experience with it, Id appreciate to hear your opinion on how do you think itd fit my purpose. Thank you

As you know, OT is open to a lot of different scenarios…I think what you are asking is really possible on OT, but you will need to learn the machine and find the way you want to organise your set. Yes, you can input vocals and guitar on OT, and mix them, you will need some kind of preamp or DI.Yes, you can play backing tracks and other samples…and switching songs is really fast, even, you can make transitions between songs, no silence…If you take a look to other octatrack posts you will find all your answers…what I found more complex was to find the way I wanted to play the OT, cause you can do all you want and more, it’s always surprising. Personally, I do different things with OT on my set, but other people use it in a completely different way. Experiment! go for it!

i’d personally spend just a little bit more, in the 2000.00 range and get an OT mk2 and a digitakt.
