As someone whose Portuguese process is two months behind where he expected it to be, with probably another two months waiting, let me suggest that you temper your expectations. I’m sure it’s a lot better than Italy, which I expect (from numerous visits) would be more infuriating (and corrupt) in just about every aspect. But, while everyone seems very nice, none of them are in a particular hurry.
