Not sure if this was mentioned already but if your running and another machine alongside the rytm that’s sending midi, sequencing sciences is super easy, I use the Octa for the job and works a treat.
The sample screen doesn’t always display the correct sample when using sample locks,
I would like it if it showed the correct sample when the sequencer cycles through the samples…
change tempo to 300+ BPM FFS!
Free routing of LFOs to any track like on the Machinedrum
Euclidean random trig generator
YES. Very.
god I wish
Is there a way to set things up so that whatever sounds we play from the sound browser on a given track are automatically added to the sound pool?
Not possible no. Sounds have to be added manually
- Proper Sample slicing
This machine is likely the greatest drum machine ever made, sample slicing would cement this.
A QOL feature which would just help with use:
- Kits saveable on the +Drive - IE global kits, separate from project to facilitate easier copying into new projects.
Are kits not saveable on the +drive??? How do they get saved at all in that case?
I meant as separate from the project - will clarify in my post. IE you could transfer a kit (or many) easily between projects.
It is possible to copy paste them but it’s not initiative agreed!
Ya! I think it would just be nice to have some “global” kits setup eg - 909 clone, 808 clone etc that you probs want in every project!
I guess i could do this with a template project now that I think of it, but still - would be a nice to have QOL
preach!
Maybe this one has been mentioned before -
it would be cool to be able to set a “machine” to midi which wouldn’t trigger the choke channels.
Would be nice to be able to have 8 audio + 4 midi running!
yeah - i thought about that too - a way to completely decouple a paired track from its (voice) partner - so a dedicated basic midi machine for the track which could potentially free up incorporation of some additional basic midi controls in lieu of the synth machine parameters - these machines could be swapped into any track, but would be a sort of bonus for those paired ones if exploiting them in the regular way isn’t on your agenda, good though that is
even just a toggle setting on a paired track to decouple its sequencer from its partner would be handy
It might have been mentioned already, but:
MIDI controllability for live Live Record Function
The big OT update got me thinking about my Rytm. If we ever get another big update I’d love some of the following.
- Scales for chromatic mode, with root key indicated in a slightly brighter pad colour
- Sample length instead of start/end like on the digitakt
- Fine sample start and length like on the digitakt
- Midi machine type (turns off analog engine to prevent voice stealing)
- Sample slice mode, which sets the 12 chromatic pads to play the same note. Hit a pad and adjust the start and end point of that specific ‘slice’ (or adjust any other parameter you want perhaps )
- Second LFO on page 2
- More machines wherever possible, though not sure if theres any unexplored territory in those analog circuits
Agree with all of that. Plus three levels of LED brightness, please! Especially for the pads!
And for this:
Maybe some transient detection to automatically pick out the first 48 hits (with user control for stuff that doesn’t work so well). Move up and down the pages (like chromatic mode) to reach hits beyond the first 12.
