AR Analog Rytm feature request thread

God, I wish!

Blinded by the lights!

Got my Rytm today. is there a way to dim the lights of the pads? if not, this would be a strong request from my side. Didn’t thought this could be an issue - but I probably need sunglasses with it! :sunglasses:

They recently added this feature to OT, so I’m hoping it comes to the other boxes.

ok, great to know! hope so too. In a club situation this could be fun. but not on a relaxed evening at home after a workday in-front of the computer.

Actually the less ambient lighting there is around Rytm, the worse it is for blinding lights so I can’t imagine how people use them live without a lamp or whatever. Fingers crossed we get the option to dim them soon!

I already thought I’m the only one  Didn’t find anything on that topic.

But otherwise I’m really impressed. Glad I switched from the DT that I also really liked.

i would love to be allowed to output triggers from each instrument output but not remove it from the mix to do so.

Would be handy to be able to reassign/map the pads too :o

I am not sure whether this is what you mean, but you can already define track routing (sending to main and/or fx in addition to indiv. outs) in the global settings (manual page 63) as well as customize it per kit (page 27).

yup. i read the manual. but i’m talking about sending trigger outs to modular but still keep the sound in the mix. not sending sounds out individual outs.

This is more of a sequencer feature request as these really apply for all the boxes:

  1. Track “chance” could count as a trig condition which could trigger the NEI trig condition.

  2. It’d would also be amazing if the track chance “stacked” with trig conditions.
    EG

    • Trig condition = 1/4
    • Track chance = 50%
    • Then every 1/4 times the trig comes around, there would be a 50% chance the trig would play.
  3. Finally, and it’s a big one, instead of NEI, it would be good if we could just target a specific track.
EG Trig on Track 4 plays only if the corresponding trig on track 6 plays.

This would turn this box into a pretty insane generative drum machine.

Also I would wish a way to get tuned Maschines, maybe a Change between Free and Tuned Maschines.
And scaled Chromatic Pads would be nice.

More hihat and cymbal machines. They are the weakest point of the Rytm
More variability on the BT, maybe new machine.
New machines for toms

Agreed about needing more hi hat and cymbal machines.

Coming from the OT, I really wish that browsing samples could be done without having to go to the settings menu. What I mean is- when you’re on the sample parameters page, and you scroll the top right knob to change between different sample slots, I think you should be able to highlight a slot and hit the right arrow key to automatically go to the sample browser and load a sample into that slot.

You can hit func + yes to add samples from the plus drive directly from there

Its so unlikely - but even if one track could do polyphonic midi sequencing I’d be so chuffed.

It’d be great to have a studio mode in the rytm in which the delay and reverb sends would be routed to main L and main R. You could add pedals there or in overbridge you could control sends to (2) VSTs from the Rytm directly, for p-locks, performances etc…

internal fx would be bypassed of course.
