AR and Logic Pro

Hello all,
Just got an Analog Rytm and Analog Keys, and was wandering if anybody has any tips on setting up these machines to sync with Logic Pro 9. Did some preliminary testing running a simple pattern on the AR, but ran into sync issues when stopping / re starting playback in Logic Pro. I’m using a 2012 Mac Pro with an 8 input/ output MIDI patch bay. Any help will be appreciated!!

Try going -

PREFERENCES > MIDI > SYNC
on the bottom right there should be ‘MIDI sync project settings’

Then go MIDI CLOCK > Transmit MIDI clock 1 Destination: “All”.

Logic has always been a bit weird with clock setting on hardware that is not just a midi controllor - I think i had a similiar problems once with the DSI Tetra - think i just ended up having to press play/stop on logic instead of the machines

Thanks for the info!! . I def. need Logic to be the master. Will try the settings you suggested later on.

hey, I had some sync issues with Logic.
You won’t believe what happened next:

Read your thread, Void. Seems like song mode is the way to go then?? Is filtering out song position pointer working OK for you??

yes filtering out the SPP worked alright!

but you don’t necessarily have to use song mode on the machine. that was specific to a thing we were trying to do.
