Can’t seem to find these for sale in EU. Is it the chip shortage or something else? Even the listing disappeared from thomann.

looks well light/plasticky but built like a tank, really love mine sounds are really fantastic

Bought a pristine Blue MS-1 off this forum a few days ago I love it. Always regretted selling my Black one in lock down, great to have it back it’s a keeper.

I just thought it was funny that they had a six months ‘in stock’ date and the forum hasn’t filled up with ‘ it’s out of stock, there must be a v2 coming’…
They’ve been out for years so I doubt there’s any legal issues except behringer shipping new things that sell rather than product people are now buying 2nd hand.
Why ship ms-1 when they can fill containers with new product people want to buy ( rd9 etc )

I have to say the Blue is beautiful, they look bright blue on the online pics however it’s pretty dark.
Out of 7 or so Behringer synths I bought, definitely rate the deepmind and ms1 as my faves. Previously owned a 101, Juno 6 and jx3p and they get close, but good enough anyhow to stand on own feet.
Got my black ms1 second hand but didn’t have the hand-grip. No major loss and no issues so far.
They won’t be made forever, and if (big if) they hold up reliably, can’t see why they won’t be as desirable as the out of production Roland boutiques for those who make music not war.

Just ordered one, but now I keep reading about the glide time being too long. Is it really that bad?
Then lastly, apparently portamento is unavailable when the sequencer is playing. That’s a bummer but since I will be playing it with a pulsewave from an external seuencer, I should be able to get around that, right?
So does the poetamento work when advancing through the notes via the Ext Clock In?
Answering my own question:
For anything percussive and for bouncy basses, the glide time is a bit too long. The linear envelope also doesnt help much.
Apart from that, this thing sounds incredible.
I sold the sh01a because of the lack of space between the faders and the poor sounding oscillators for anything bass.
The behringer is quite big and chunky both physically and when it does BASS. Love it.
PS: yeah no portamento when the sequencer is playing 
Ok so I have had a basically brand new (BLUE BEHRINGER MS-1) in the box for over a year now and tonight I decided to get it out the box and have a blast but…
After calibrating it and updating the synth when I press any key it plays different pitches no matter what…
It’s out of tune on every key so when I play say C4 the synths will play low, high or whatever it wants???
It’s just been in the box Iv’e never even played it for more than 20 minutes but this is strange. Also the calibration can go on for hours… anyone else heard of this happening? I’m ready to throw this thing in the trash… I guess you get what you pay for with the likes of Behringer tho

Someone who tests beta for them confirmed that they have an MS-1 MK 2 coming using the cloned the vca chip from the 808, 909, 101 and others

Did they all use the same vca chip ( I don’t actually care ). ? I can’t recall any issues with the vca / envelopes.
I hope there is a mk 2… fix the glide issue , remove their horrendous sequencer for something that is usable, midi cc … hook up to their incoming free Daw.
I won’t buy one … barely used mk1 and have softube plug-in version which is excellent.
The OG used a BA662 for the final VCA. I’m guessing they’re replacing whatever OTA they’ve been using with their 662 clone for authenticity? From the vids of the RD8 Mk2 I’ve seen there is a difference in the clap circuit where they’ve incorporated the 662 ala the 808.

Can anyone tell me if and how is it possible to turn off kbd control on the MS1?
What I mean is the possibility to control any of my synths with the MS-1 depending on what channel I chose in Ableton or Force or whatever is my master.
