Best Albums / Tracks of the 90s

There is an argument to be made for DMB though….

I don’t really know their catalog but I know it enough to know their best song was written by Ween!

Which one? Or do you mean Phish? The only good Phish songs I’ve ever heard (and I’ve heard a lot) are written by others.

DMB = Dave Matthews Band

I meant Phish… thought DMB was a reference to an album of theirs.

So many greats already listed, and many others for me to check out (thanks all)

Can add:

Ween - The Mollusk
Ween - Chocolate and Cheese
Judgement Night Soundtrack (terrible movie, but crazy soundtrack pairing up mostly heavy alternative groups with hip hop acts. “Another Body Murdered” with Faith No More/Boo Ya Tribe is heavy af)
Handsome Boy Modeling School - So….How’s Your Girl? (So many great tracks on this one. Lots of Del.)

  • His Name Is Alive - Livonia
  • Spring Heel Jack - Lee Perry EP
  • Stereolab - Mars Audiac Quintet
  • Stereolab - Switched On

An excellent album, though I always preferred the first two.

These too!

And these!

Oh yeah!

I have at least half of those on CD. Lol. I might have the Pole release on vinyl.

Yes, an amazing album! Just saw them a few weeks ago, great show as always. And I am digging their new album as well.

I somehow assumed all the GAS albums were from the 00s or later. Something so un-90s about them.

People still listen to 90s music??

I thought we are supposed to be writing music for the future not looking in the review mirror :joy:

A lot of great mentions so far

Slint-Spiderland

Anything on record labels
Roule
Ghetto Technics
Axis
Virus
Ram

A serious omission on my part!

I will now have to look and see if I have.

I don’t drive, but I understand looking in the rear view is pretty essential.
