The world of FX pedals is huge but mostly dedicated to the guitarists. Very difficult to have an idea of how it would sound on synths and drum machines when the demos are only on bass and guitars.
I am looking for:
A. A flange FX. (Chorus and Phaser would be a bonus)
B. Glitch, weird effect for electro/IDM.
I have no analog fetish. My “only” requirements are:
The best glitch FX unit I can think of in that price range is the Korg KP3. It might cover that other ground for you too. Though the FX on the Korg KP3 is really hit or miss. Some of the FX settings are good, some are OK, some are unusable. Still a fun as hell unit and an interesting sampler/looper as well.
Edited to add that don’t discount the cheap nuxx type pedals. In fact the nuxx chorus is twenty quid and very very usable.
Or I currently have an Akai phase shifter pedal for sale. Pm if interested. It’s analog and Chrome, if those types of things stiffen you up.
Dude. You’ve put my checking account in danger …lol. So tweakable…defo not a set and forget box…which I love! Would like to here some longer delay stuff done with it, but sounds ace on drums.
Strymon Deco. Chorus, Flanger and “Delay”. Extreme saturation settings can get “glitchy”. It lives on my AR stereo outs. I love the weird space it gives it.
not exactly a pedal…
but have a look into the KP3 from Korg as InTheAM already suggested…
It is cheap and it has midi…
And that is where the fun starts…
sync it to your groove and assign some midi CC values in your sequencer to turn the effects on and off and control their intensity…
run your machinedrum or whatever through it and the fun starts…
