I set up a program today with midi and audio utilizing master and studio modes. I was fiddling with arp settings, switched to audio tracks and added a flex sample to track 6. As I began modifying cue volume for that track (using as a send), the arp transposed up and down as if it were the transpose knob itself. I thought I was going mad for a few moments. Saved, rebooted, and still could reproduce. I also could still reproduce after reflashing firmware. No other cue seems to do it – just track 6. Anyone else run into this?
it couldn’t; i’m using midi to arp external hardware, so unplugging would remove all midi communication, i should also add that i am just midi out from the OT to the external gear. but the weirdest thing is that an audio track has any impact on a midi track at all…
well, it’s not saying enough to get to the root of this
firstly, a bug will be replicable on all machines of the same OS - what are the fewest steps to replicate
if it’s a bug then you can safely disconnect all plugs and assure us it’s not a loop
you may have a usage issue or a corruption/gremlin
so there’s really no activity/plug to MIDI In as you sorta half say ?
What’s your OS ?
What MIDI settings have you got for ALL 16 tracks Audio/Midi ?
Which Track is responding to the cue adjustment ?
Have you got any LFOs in action ?
Having said that, it sounds odd if you indeed have nothing at MIDI In ! The OT does have moments, as many report, where strange things do happen - but a bug would be repeatable by all of us, what are the simple steps to allow us to verify this bug ?
Sorry, that was meant for Rusty. I haven’t tried with a blank project yet but will soon.
Also, no LFOs, no MIDI in (just out to external gear), and track 6 audio cue is altering track 2 MIDI arp transpose. OS is H. Only MIDI track 1 and 2 have channels assigned to them. Arp only enabled on channel two.
I’ll try and test the blank project and also grab some video in the next couple days…being cautious as this is for a set I am playing tomorrow.
