The new update 1.40 is so amazing but Ive found an annoying ‘bug’ Ive logged it with Elektron but maybe someone could confirm that I’m not crazy.
I’m using a Beatstep Pro as an external controller for the OT. I have the drum track set to the new audio track midi mapping of slices and that works like a dream. And then I have two other channels set to trigger one shot samples which I have set to use Chromatic midi map.
My problem is that with the sequencer on the bsp running whenever I press the Func button it stops the bsp triggering the tracks set to Chromatic. It doesn’t affect the drum track so it seems to me this only a Chromatic map issue. Let me know if that’s not clear and I’ll try and elaborate
I found the workaround is to use the Standard midi mapping for the track and voila! No problem. The reason I want to use the Chromatic mapping is to avoid those awkward moments when you select the wrong scale on the external midi device and end up muting a track by accident.
I had a couple of other settings set to get the most out of the bsp.
Record note length set on
External cc set to off (it seems the record button on the bsp sets the OT to solo track 1. That was a tricky one to troubleshoot!)
