I recently acquired an Elektron Digitakt and I love it, however when trying to use the device through Overbridge it does not show up. The Transfer application worked fine and I’m a bit confused about what to do next. Digitakt is in 1.20A and Overbridge is in 2.0.39. I use a 2017 MacBook Pro running 10.13.6. The Overbridge engine does not show up as an icon at the bottom of my screen, could there be an issue here?
Im sure I also gave the driver permission to run within 30mins of installation.
I realise I’m a complete amateur when it comes to Electron devices, but hopefully someone here can help me out.
Hey. let’s start with the obvious:
Did you activate Overbridge Mode in your settings on the Digitakt itself (the cogwheel button)?
Just asking because you wrote that Transfer had worked fine which probably would not be the case with activated Overbridge mode.
If you haven’t fixed the problem already, have you checked your applications to see if it’s there? I’m running the latest version of Catalina and it was finicky for a minute. Open the Overbridge engine in your applications and see if it works. The actual standalone app/vst that you use is called Digitakt.
I’m having the same issue. I’m Digitakt 1.20A and I just installed Overbridge 2.0.39.10 on Mac OS 10.15.6.
When I connect the Digitakt via USB, the Overbridge engine does not see the device. The same thing happens when using the standalone application and the VST in Reaper. I am in Overbridge mode. I’m able to connect to the Digitakt and send samples just fine using Transfer.
This is very frustrating – I used to have an effective workflow where I could select the Digitakt as my device in Reaper, set up 8 tracks, and record multi channel output. I waited over a year after purchasing the Digitakt to be able to use this feature and it seems completely broken again.
EDIT: Well, I seem to have solved it by uninstalling and reinstalling Overbridge again. Whew. The workflow in Reaper is slightly different, but I can record again!
