Lovely. One of my favourite classical pieces too!

Yeah one of my faves too, not sure the theremin is the best choice, I often thought of doing a 303 version, maybe one day.

I’d like to hear that. Someone who thinks Theremin is not suited to replacing a violin part is sure to come up with something very different from anything I would expect.

I admit the 303 is not the first synth I think of for covering that violin/Theremin part.

Guess I’m gonna have to budget for a Claravox to go with the Moog Matriarch. Good job with the product placement shot, Moog.

Curious how you plan to use them together: do you want to use it as a MIDI controller (assuming it can do that)? Or play the thermin along with a sequence on the Matriarch?

303 used with subtlety and restraint can sound very beautiful indeed IMHO, a bit of reverb and some subtle delay perhaps, I reckon I could make it work. Clair de acid

For the people on here who are liking the Theremin work, if you’re not familiar with Clara Rockmore…

No, not as MIDI controller. CV-only. Matriarch has some well-known MIDI problems.

A demo of Moog Etherwave used as CV controller

Another demo (ignore the guitar if you want)

Obviously a great choice for bumping/ravin sets

Now THAT is a beautiful gadget.
