Collaborations That You Want to Hear but Will (Definitely, Maybe) Never Happen

So I always listen to many different styles of music and because of this I am always picking up vibes/energy of a different nature.

I was wondering who you guys would put together for a one off concert or a get together for a dream collaboration for a one off album.

Discuss…

For me, I was a little taken aback by thinking this, and forgive me, but I want Liam Gallagher to work with The Prodigy.

Liam created some beef between him and Keef, if I remember correctly. Whatevs to that.

If Keith was still here, it wouldn’t happen. I’m sure.

After thinking and thinking I feel that our Keef would give this collaboration the green light. I always read that he was a ruddy nice guy and he is connected to ‘an energy’ that I would consider otherworldly. He knows full well that this collaboration would be a sick event; as opposed to being all like “yo guys, don’t do it, you can’t replace me” because he knows full well that Liam will bring an energy to we humans. An energy that will unite, an energy that will excite, an energy that will bring every listener and concert goer to a state of enlightenment that only Liam and The Prodigy can bring us too. He’s happy with that. He is somewhere else. On a different plane of existence but I feel that I know this plane and it’s one that is full of pure love without fear of suffering.

I may have some haters for this post. In my eyes, if death wasn’t a thing then just a gig performed by The Prodigy would be my ultimate: not this collaboration.

I always hoped that one day Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn would collaborate on something, but I guess it’s just a pipe dream.

Wait a sec.

Not taking the piss btw, just trying to sprinkle a bit of sunshine. Keith’s death is sad AF.

Liam G and Liam H could totally cut a record together.

Bryan Ferry’s a great one to collaborate with anybody. Maybe a duet with David Byrne.

Mr Bungle and John Frusciante (for the lolz)
Captain beefheart and John Zorn (because there’s no such thing as too much saxophone)
Iannis Xenakis and Russell Haswell (because his work using xenakis’ UPIC system was awesome)
Pauline Oliveros and Autechre (because she would dig the shit out of their reverbs).

I am aware that many of my choices are dead.

The rumoured Coil and Butthole Surfers and/or Diamanda Gálas collaborations would be intriguing to know if they were ever more than entries on a long wishlist of unfinished plans and ideas.
