Maybe, but I can’t stand blue color.
What about the MOTU Ultralite mk5? Not exactly what are you looking for but future-proof
Yes it does work best for blues.
Finally got the TC-Helicon hooked up to test drive. Really loving the 4 independent Stereo outs on this little flying saucer.
So far so good:
I love that it works stand alone and connected to your DAW…AUM on the iPad in this scenario.
I’m using 2 of the Outs to feed direct to the SP404 and Deluge. The Blender App also allows you to define which of the 6 Six Inputs feed into the headphone outs…so i turned off the SP feed into the SP and Deluge feed into the Deluge.
Found the unit on Amazon for $159 fwiw.
1 tip, if you are experiencing doubling of sound when connected to a DAW, just turn down the volume of each Stereo Input and use the DAW to control the Volume of your connected devices. USB takes over volume control in these scenarios.
Is the effect send true stereo send and return? I really love doing 2-buss parallel compression and really want a rack-mount mixer so I can keep everything portable and compact, but so many rack-mount mixers (or mixers in general until you get pricier) seem lacking in true stereo effects send.
i’ll settle for having a secondary bus I can route things to/through, but usually mixers with this more complex functionality are too big and take too much time to set up every time.
I was looking at the ART MX822 because it fits my needs perfectly but it doesn’t seem reviewed well at all, and what I see says it’s noisey and not so great : /
It’s a cool little device. I didn’t know you could switch off certain routing in the app, good to know, and I guess it gives a layer of security against feedback?
Does AUM output just show up on the HP1 output? Or does it go to all of them?
And your comment re doubled audio when connected to a DAW, does that mean the standalone matrix mixer to HP outs still works normally even when in usb mode?
In AUM it only shows a single Stereo Mix.
Yes the mixer works StandAlone so you don’t need to route audio to the DAW to hear it.
Yes, 2 stereo fx sends (one PRE, one POST fader, stereo inputs for return. Thanks to @fifty1fifty to have pointed it out.
