Anybody got some RAM experience? Upping from 32 to 64Gb RAM. Comp doesnt see the new sticks. Motherboard is an Asrock x99extreme 4/3.1. I tried updating UEFI/BIOS. I find it unlikely that the sticks are dead, but could be off course…anybody with experience and ideas for troubleshooting?
First of all try onky with one stick of new RAM memory in first slot (check which one is first, A1, according to manual). If it works ok, then try the other one i second slot, in dual channel config.
If everything is ok, then one of two things are the problem:
- either you didn’t put them in right slots *check he manual for the order of the slots to get quad channel configuration)
- or the modules are not compatible
