My analog4 finally has modules to play with. https://voca.ro/19DPZZCwUR8C
Beautiful!

messing around with the Analog Four, OB-6, Bass Station 2, MFB-301 Pro, and Strymon Volante today
some test recordings from sp 404mk2 to tx6 this evening after update firmware and playing with it
Syntakt and SubH.
I leveled up and started assigning cc mssgs to the two osc. Then I applied the LFO to the pitch of the second osc.
Plus the Syntakts Delay, Reverb, and Driveā¦ and a bass line after some bars.
Really just seeing what I can get out of her.
I should sayā¦ the LFO give a generative quality to the SubH sequencerā¦ opening it past the dual 4 stepsā¦ Its messy at the jump, but quickly evolves into a nice song once I speed everything up.
And its all in one goā¦ no multitrack.
ded mauz.
Finally managed to compile this thing into a full track:
The A4 is really awesome at those gritty sounds! Also played around with some random triggers on the FX settingsā¦
Current state with ST, DN, miniKORG, Take 5 and Memotron > Boum
30 BPM
If youāve never tried it, I think INAās vst GRM Tools Classic could fill you with happiness.
Quick Jam with DT using new Slice modeā¦ actually synced with Koala to chop and edit loops. Then sequenced Koala via DT MIDI tracks. Finally sampled Koala output into DT using the step record length. Worked well for meā¦ especially sampling via USB audio
Tweaked the modulation on the previous patch, and added the second oscillator from Paradox as a second voice (first one is phase-modulating Generate 3). Headphones or larger speakers recommended to hear the bass. Also used the dreaded shimmer reverb, yes, I know, but itās suited to this material, and Source Audio Collider has a credible implementation. Only manual intervention is on the Rate knob on Pachinko, which is generating pitch/gate.
Did a full set of my debut album live this weekend. Octatrack does everything. I have borrowed a Boss VE20 pedal for the mic, very convinient with the extra headphone output for the octatrack. Not to mention the generous amount of compression you can add, if you just adjust āmic sensitivityā for no live feedback.
T1-T4 plays stems, T5 is a megabreak with 64x jungle beats, T6 is used for ambient sounds, T7 is vocal thru output with delay mapped to crossfader. T8 is a resampling track that also doubles as a pitch shifter.
I did not use a transition pattern, instead i would allow T8 to stretch to whatever tempo the next track is, and just mute/unmute my way out of arranging the songs.
Edit: and T8 listens to cue output in studio mode
Just got an SP-16 again and Iām not sure Iām heading in the right direction here, what do you guys think? -
love this. LP5 vibes
