Cutoff and volume

Hi! maybe someone here has a good solution !?

if you have a sound with the cutoff turned down and then turn it up in the course of the track, the signal becomes uncomfortably loud.

there is certainly the possibility to close a limiter behind it so that the signal does not exceed a set level, but somehow that sounds unnatural.

does anyone have a better solution for this? maybe there is a great setting on the synthesizer itself that I don’t know about, where the signal just doesn’t get louder when you turn up the cutoff.

greetings, rob

the best setting i find is riding the track volume with your other hand

Yeah, usually when rocking the filter, especially with high resonance stuff, the other hand is on the level.

If you set up tricks beforehand, Octatrack has scenes, A4/AK have performance macros, AR has macros as well, although utilizing pad pressure in this case is kinda tricky, I guess?
Always possible to use a midi controller or OT/DT/DN etc. to control Rytm via midi cc.
