Different arrangements in the same project?

Hi,

after reading the manual a few times and watching as many tutorials as possible I still don’t have a idea how to setup my octatrack to make multiple areangemnts in a project.

I have different banks and 4 parts per bank and I can set the tempo in the arranger row so I can have different bpms in the same project.

What I don’t understand is how to make different arrangements for different songs in the same project or is that not possible?

Let’s say I make a beat in bank a with 4 patterns in the arranger and set the tempo in a row.
Now I would like to make a new beat I go to bank b now I can use new samples without changing the ones in bank a or use a new part. I make a new beat with a different tempo than bank a. NOW I have 8 patterns and would like to make an arrangement out of that. This is where things gets complicated for me because no matter which bank or part I select in the arranger window is the same arrangement of bank a.

The manual says there are 8 arrangements per project available but how ?

Press [Function] + [Pattern] to enter the Arranger. Then press [Function] + [Bank] to open the Arranger menu. Then select ‘Change’ to choose which arrangement (1-8) you want to use.

Full details on page 107 & 109 of the manual.

Never knew about this! Thanks!

Thanks! So every time I switch to a new bank or for me a new beat I have to change the arrangement and tempo manually. Got it !!

And of course, in any particular project, you can use any pattern from any bank in any of the eight arrangements. You only have to limit yourself to one song/arrangement per bank if you want to.
