Are you 100% sure the monitoring is on EXT L&R? The threshold has nothing to do with the monitoring.

If it is set to EXT L&R, but still no volume, turn the volume up on the sample source.

if you have OB enabled, run the Digitakt application, click on the tape up right. You will see a kind of VU Meter with audio input and master output. Check if something move in audio input when you play a sound.

thanks for the reply - tbh, I think maybe it’s because I’m going from a turntable direct into the Digi. Not a line level signal, so need to go via mixer or something?

There you go dude, that’s why. You need a phono preamp.

Digitakt can now pass through stereo signals, see the external mixer on page 58 of the manual.
