Has anyone experienced their Digitakt encoders having a bit of a mind of their own? For example on the sample page the sample select window will act like a popup ad. The sample start will also wiggle between few decimal points.
I did a factory reset at Elektron’s suggestion, but it doesn’t seem to have solved the issue.
I can also see the problem in test mode. The encoder is moving a little on its own.
So far this isn’t an issue for nearly anything, but curious if anyone has had the same issue or found solutions. Replace the encoders?
I have this issue with my D and C encoders, D more so than C. My D encoder is bad enough that it interrupts work flow as I have to rotate it back and forth for the behavior to stop. I have not contacted support about it but I’ve read in here that it’s happened to others and their solution ended up being to send the unit in.
Dont know which encoders are responsible other than D but mine is the same, microtiming is the only parameter effected, the others just open windows or flicker the icon. Havnt send mine back as I would rather live with it than have an extended break while it is fixed.
I don’t think it would be a firmware issue, but I suppose overactiveness could be possibly solved in someway in the software. Seems like a hardware issue as far as I can tell though.
Its definitely a pysical problem, if I turn the encoders a quarter/half turn it stops. If I am envolved and its bugging me I will quick save and give them all a turn and reload.
Personally I would love it if they could disable microtiming from the encoders or at least make it just one of them rather than all 8, or maybe their is a use for high speed super senstiive microtiming accessed from a variety of locations that I am unaware of.
