Digitakt & Logic

Hello,

I’d like to use digitakt in Logic but I don’t know how to set it up. Any help would be highly appreciated.

This.

What do you not know how to setup?

  1. Assign the Digitakt in Preference > Audio > Devices > Input Device
  2. Click “New Tracks,” use mono tracks, check “Assending,” type “12” in “Number of Tracks.”

I can’t remember the order, but essentially you’ll have 8 tracks for the samples (mono), 2 tracks for the FX (L/R), and 2 tracks for the inputs (L/R).

Pretty sure I’m not missing anything here, but let me know.

many many thanks !

And Concerning midi, how can I pilot Audio Units with my digitakt ?

On logic :
Go to File, project settings, sync, midi
then tick the box “send to” or “transmit to” (depending of the language setting of Logic) and choose your hardware, the digitakt then (previously connected via USB)
below you have to chose the mode.
Try different mode. Some make it difficult to listen to loops properly.

Also, in project setting, audio, choose 48 kHZ, you’ll have less latency.
As well, to reduce latency, go to Logic preference (command + , ) and choose a buffer seize of 128 …

On the digitakt :
go to setting, midi config, sync, and tick clock receive.
tick clock send if you want to control other gears via Midi thru…
Go back to setting, midi config, port config, input from : chose USB or USB + midi
