I used the USB Midi Host PCB from Hobbytronics : USB Host Controller Board V2.4 and LG Cells with 3350mAh to get min. 10Ah with 9 Pieces.

Nice job.

I would squirt some hot glue on those tiny wire solder connections though.

Won’t take much to pop those loose.

Bloody magnificent. Any issues?

It´s working fine … tested with several Midi Keyboards and small Synthesizers.

I assume it’s only passing MIDI to and fro? Or just to?

amazing job, very neat - but presumably you have to use either USB or DIN as you presumably aren’t merging (which would be perfect)

edit - oops, it’s attached to teh Out !

This Mod mirrors only the existing Midi DIN Connector to a USB Host.

The Midi OUT works on both ways but the Midi in ist only from one Input at the same Time usable … but for mobile use it´s ok.

A good solder joint is way stronger than hot glue.

Can you explain what this is ?

Otherwise it’s just a load of wires on a circuit board.
Loots interesting.

How do you like the MM2?

I like the MicroMonsta 2 very much for mobile use … but for complex Things i use my Access Virus.

Internal battery plus a host to plug USB controllers and synths into the DT I think. They said above it just mirrors the regular midi outs.

I wonder how much effort it would be to battery mod my MPC one. Is there much to it? Ive got a soldering iron I’m not afraid to use. How do you see your battery level?

These mods always make me nervous when I think of resale. … not warranty issues but just general ‘added value ‘

Makes me think about when I had my zx81 modded with an Atari joystick about 40 years ago.
