Digitakt vs Prophet 6 sequencer conflicts

I think I have some kind of odd MIDI loop going on.

When I try and program my Prophet6’s step sequencer, releasing the key registers twice. I suspect that when I hit the key, the sequencer is getting two signals- on from the original press and a second one looped through the Digitakt.

Now, I can’t turn off the MIDI out from the Digitakt, because I am using it to drive the P6 in order to play basslines and the like.

I’m reasonably sure this is a simple fix, but I am a guitarist and this thing doesn’t have tubes. I’m confused by any technology more modern than 1965.

well, this should be easily getting fixed. Sorry, I only got a Pro 2:

Try to turn off Midi-out on the P6 and the loop is interrupted.
(Global -> Midi out select -> off)

Are you sure you ment 1965?

If I do that, I won’t be able to program the Digitakt by playing the keys though, right?

yes, I think so. In case of programming DT by external keys (P6) you need to turn off DT’s midi out.

In case you don’t want to switch back and forth you can simply switch the midi channel. Select a differnt one for in- and outgoing midi.
