Digitone feature requests!

Option to only send the WET Input L/R signal to main.
Why? Because I am using the DN reverb and delay engines on my mixer AUX sends to effect other gear. Currently the presence of dry signal on the DN main output interacts with the original dry signal on mixer main bus.

This is same for DT by the way. Feature update would make sense on both devices.

Note (within the choosen scale) as a destination for LFO to make melodic generative stuff

Iā€™ve been playing around with a custom page on my launchpad for performing, and a way to select the active track from external midi could be really cool. Being able to switch tracks with some unused buttons on the launchpad could be handy.

That would be similar to Octatrack midi arp. I love having multiple LFOs affect the different notes in the arp. You can create really beautiful and complicated patterns.

  • a way to quickly clear plocks without note trigs (i deeply miss AR/octa fnct+no in live rec)

  • more finetune control on master drive, it sounds awesome but on sine-ish sounds it works either on or off, even with 0. values

probably not gonna happen but +10000 for retrig and midi arp

A filter for line inputs also, and an associated LFO that can be ā€œparameter-lockedā€ as the others into midi tracksā€¦
-> yeahā€¦i have sidechain emulations in my mind ;D
(I already use this trick for internal tracks and works perfectly)

If there is no room for this lfo+filter, a simple eq on line inputs would be nice for balancing the sound in dawless contexts.

Iā€™m sure itā€™s been requested already, but I would kill to be able to load presets on the MIDI tracks.
That would allow you to build a template for another MIDI synth, and load it quickly, instead of having to look up the MIDI implementation chart for your other synths every time you want to control them with the Digitone.

Imagine pressing the MIDI button, double tapping Track 1, and scrolling down to your SH-01a preset instead of mapping the same MIDI parameters every time you make a new pattern that uses that machine.

A bonus would be the ability to label the MIDI CC knobs, but Iā€™d be more than happy with preset recall.

Not sure Iā€™m actually requesting this for Digitone, but I played with Nanoloop FM and remembered how nice it is.

I thought about that too, but i think its currently meant to have project per midi setup.
So if you have everything setup in midi, you just work in the same project and change banks per song.

Problem with that approach is that if you run out of sound pool or sequencer, there is no way to copy MIDI track settings between projects.

  • So my counter suggestion is: add option of ā€œimport MIDI fromā€¦ā€ for import/export menu, that would let you to copy all CC destinations from a chosen project. (Bank A P1)

P.S. I think double tapping MIDI as a shortcut for that screen is dangerous because it would make fast switching between midi and internal tracks lead to you ending up at import screen on accident, while you are trying to be fast. Its not something you need a quick access to anyway.

For some reason I havenā€™t read all the requests :upside_down_face:

Soā€¦these are a few things that would make me happy, but not sure theyā€™re possible. (also for DT)

  • I would like to have te ability to send tracks separately to the headphone out, so you can proces those tracks with other gear and if you want, get them back in through the external mixer and create a send/return loop.

  • I would also like a filtermode where you can still use the filter on tracks with p-locks.
For example with a drum track with multiple sounds you canā€™t filter them all together and I would like that to be possible.

  • and +1 for retrigger on DN.

Pretty pretty please can we get LFO keytracking?

Continuing the discussion from Digitone feature requests!:

+++1 to shortcut or page memory (like what was added to parameter pages with 1.3.2) when assigning velocity, pitch, at, mw, breath controller. Itā€™s really tedious to list down to the CC, set the control range, exit the menu to adjust the respective parameter to suit the CC range, then have to list back down to dial it inā€¦ with 4 parameters per each of the 5 cc I spend more time in that menu than anywhere else as the cc mapping is my favorite performance toolā€¦

+++1 to fixed frequency operatorsā€¦ or perhaps alternative KB mappings

Curious if anyone knows if DN firmware is still in development?

just wanted to ask again for fm envelope beginning level. Beginning the fm envelop attack from 0 is becoming a serious limit on subtler sounds

Iā€™m pretty sure I read someone asking before, just wanted to ask again if some kind of tremolo, vibrato, auto-panner could be added to free up the 2 LFOā€™s. Or if the LFOs could be multi mapped like with the expression CC macros

  1. Slide trigs like in the Analog Rytm would be amazing (top priority)
  2. Retrigger
  3. Maybe some more algorithms

Convoluted workaround: map a slow square wave LFO to ā€œSYN: A Levelā€ or other envelope level destination. This way you get an additional independent ā€œenvelopeā€ to shape the FM level. The downside is of course that it eats up a precious LFO. I wish the DN had more LFOs as well.

Ty! Hadnā€™t thought of that! Agreedā€¦

It would be awesome if the external midi tracks had envelopes you could map to CCs. Currently using my Digitone as the main sequencer in a Eurorack/VCV rack setup.

I know I can use the LFOs in one shot mode, but at least 1 full ADSR per midi track would be super helpful.

You can sorta work around it with p-locking. I have done this on the digitakt for some fun FM on samples.

This is the only thing I would currently change about the Digitone. I hate getting my ears just blasted for that .1 second when I switch from LP2 to LP4 and back. Why is HP sandwiched between them? It really makes no sense to me.

Actually, I also wish you could double click an encoder to reset it to its default value. I did learn that holding the encoder down and pressing No has this effect, but that is not a very intuitive key command and I keep forgetting it.

Iā€™ve done that on occasion too but it would be nice to build a patch using that and be able to play it on a keyboard
