Yes I didn’t think of that. Could be done by selecting the tracks that you don’t want to affect by a shortcut (preferable) or in the settings for that pattern.
A 4op FM architecture isn’t going to be capable of anything near resynthesis.
Hé Siri, synthesize Celllo sound and send as sysex to Digitone.
That’s next level s***
more LFOs!
(or multiple destinations for LFOs…)
it would be cool to have the □□□□ algorithm like ableton’s Operator synth
Or there could be “ctrl-groups” as there are “choke” groups on some drum softwares.
When you play some ctrl-all movements it is only for the tracks which are on the same group that the active track
I’d love to have Arpeggios as pattern-track parameter, not as a sound parameter. It is really disappointing now that when you change sound — arpeggio settings are cleared.
Before I know this, I had prepared few patters for jamming session with set up various maj7sus2 chords to go play with one finger later, but then found out that only trigger data was saved but arpeggio data has gone after sound were assigned on tracks.
It’s already there - algorithm 7.
(But it can also modulate while directly outputing each operator as a carrier - can do some very funky tricks with that)
ah, im an idiot. i didn’t realize that each of the operators in 7 were audible. thank you
i really love everything about the digitone by the way. best synth i have ever used
Forwards then backwards sequencer flow
SYN1-Page2 - the four empty slots can be filled with modulation knobs for each ratio offset. Their modulation source could be Env or LFOs (or both).
randomizing single parameters instead of the complete page by pressing Yes+ the corresponding knob
maybe they should make everything randomizable with the Button+Yes combination, i.e.
T-1-T4 + Yes = randomizing a sound (all paramter pages)
Page + Yes = randomizing the pattern page (randomized steps with random pitch and notelength)
In case this hasn’t been mentioned yet, ability to control FX and ARP parameters with the LFO.
Couldn’t you just wiggle the knob about randomly for the same result?
Yep, no need for that one (the others are good suggestions tho). I don’t know about you, but button encoder pushes always move the values slightly for me. Very hard to get a clean push.
Scale mode and Arpeggiators would be great for the external keyboard controller mode on Digitone Keys. It would really help it compete with more dedicated midi controllers like the SL MK3 that has this functionality. And Arps on MIDI tracks would be nice too. Just seems logical - synth tracks have scales and arps, midi tracks have scales and arps, external keyboard has scales and arps. As it stands currently synth tracks have both, midi tracks have scales but no arps, and external keyboard controller mode has neither which all feels sort of arbitrary when these work so well on synthesis tracks.
hardware feature request: all track buttons are red
Arp:
- Midi Arp
- Random Arp
- Arp Locks
- Arp Velocity
Summary
As in: keep each pressed key’s velocity, rather than only the first.
It’s crazy how much mote dynamic this can make a sequence, I use it all the time on my masterkeyboard (ultranova).
Other:
- Looping Envelopes (Amp, Filter, A/B level)
- Extra LFO’s
- Choice between pattern or bank-based: BPM, Effect settings, Master page settings…
- Light up relevant page buttons for Parameter Locks (as on the Octatrack)
- Track Note Scales apply to the notes being sequenced/arped/played rather than just lighting up different keys.
Summary
This way you can change the pattern’s key (not just transposing) while it’s playing, to play around with different moods, or as a tool for playing live.
The Circuit and Circuit Mono Station do this, and it’s wonderful.
- Display actual voices in use.
Summary
The Voice Menu should not only display note ON’s, but show which voices are actually in use. So in the case of a sound with a long release, maybe show a single pixel in the box rather than filling it completely to get a more complete overview of how many voices are in use (and when voice stealing will occur)
To reiterate and clean up my requests…
Still on the Arp: I think It would be cool to be able to set the velocity and leght of each step
