That’s one of the hugest things about the digitone that puts it in a separate class to the classic fm synths.
The waveshaper plus the two filters make it hugely versatile. I often combine fm and subtractive methods for my sounds.
Plus if you really want, those two LFOs can be OP 5 and 6. The tuned LFO mode in 1 and 2k is plenty fast, and the LFOs have a basic fade in/out envelope.
