I got myself a DOM 1 and it’s a fantastic instrument, BUT it makes me appreciate my AK even more now.
They both have a different caracter, and I love the sound of the DOM 1 - because it really sounds like those old-scool synths. But now I can compare both and I realise even better how great the filters on the AK- A4 work. and how deep tthe soundsculpting and modulation options go !!!

I must say these machines sound very well together.

CV-out to the DOM works great and the FX shine on the DOM 1 .

After having tried all forms of synthesis I’m probably gonna continue purely with analog synthesis; Nothing is more fun to create and sounds as good and in my ears .I’m becoming a analog-purist HAHHA

but who knows what the future brings ?

When I see all over the web that the PRO 2 should be the best Mono-synth ever maid , and when I listen to the demo’s, well… This machine dousn’t sound good to me at all. There’s someting in the warmth and structure of analog oscillators that’s totally gone - even with analog filters - whom sound warmer. I guess what I like it’s in the combination analog osc. + filters. Something I never found in digital oscillators ( until now ).
