Double stop in song mode doesn't start from beginning

Searched the forum, but didn’t find a real answer to this question: I can’t seem to get the AK to start a song from the beginning by doing a double-stop:

Blockquote To start playing a Song from the beginning, double-press [STOP]. The song play position will automatically be moved to the first pattern of the first song row. Songs can, however, start playing from any pattern position. High-light a pattern position by moving the song cursor using the [ARROW] keys.

No way to get this to work, no matter what page is active (edit song mode, performance mode…) Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Seems to work for me in different modes. A4MKI 1.40A.
You have numbered rows?

Just figured it out, indeed I didn’t have any numbered rows! I’m just starting out trying to use song modes and arrangers and didn’t get the “scratch row” concept. I just entered a chain of patterns and started playing with that, meaning I was just playing that “scratch row” and it happens that the double stop function only works if a “real” numbered row is playing. Oh well…

I realised that row behavior after your post.
I didn’t practiced much, I prefer OT’s arranger, and that “–” row is confusing.

I’ve not settled yet on which (if any) arranger I should focus on. I currently have 5 sequencers , each doing it’s thing … I started using song mode on the AK because I have a piece with long evolving drones using conditional trigs to have them droning over more than 4bars, so to make sure I don’t get lost and change at the wrong bar thus having a drone on top of another which cuts off because 4voices only, I set up chains in song mode. I could do it on the Pyramid too but I’m getting tired of all the maths … Pyramid is nice and reliable, and is capable of everything you might need and more but it’s really difficult to keep track of what is where and when…
