best to put that in a PM, or move your question over to the monitors thread, so that we can keep this thread on topic.

M4 for the DT and DN
You just need to find a good length for the plastic + box. But not so long as to screw into the PCB and break it.

hey, thanks for the tip. Also the maker of these stands recommends using M4x14 screws.

As I mentioned above, I started working on a 2-tier Elektron stand for DT & DN. Below you can see the finished product - sturdy construction with perfect viewing angle for both machines.

Logo could be also convex or concave, but I’ve chosen to be flat with a green color:

Next: 2-tier stand for Moog DFAM & Mother-32.

I keep my three Elektron boxes on one tilted stand pulled up to the edge of my desk. Keeps the screens close to my crummy eyes.

I appreciate the craft in these stands but the lack of rest for the wrists… not so much.

…I see what this is…

Hi all
Some nice set-ups in here.
I do prefer standing while working and especially when making music, gives me the opportunity for a quick wiggle if things get groovy.

what kind of stand is that?

My setup is: Digitone, alone on the desktop. My posture is: Left hand resting supported by wrist on desktop; Right hand supported by forearm/elbow on desktop. My hands are large, and my fingers extend over the unit.

If I were using one of the massive setups pictured in this thread, I’d be unintentionally leaning on all kinds of buttons and knobs.

The idea of setting fine encoder values without having leverage of arms/wrists on the table…just seems like a deal-breaker to me. To make a comparison, it’d be like using a pen or pencil without resting part of my arm or my wrist on the table.

Making “free hand in space” adjustments (without the leverage I mentioned) are obviously doable, or else so many people wouldn’t have space-clogged setups. Maybe I am just lazy!

Best ideas and patterns come in :sleeping_bed: or on :couch_and_lamp:
good portable speaker helps a lot

All work like arranging, recording, mixing etc of course require table and comfy chair and good speaker placement. But no rules - you have to discover the best way yourself… Like in Castaneda book - you have to learn how to find your “energy” spot, where you don’t get tired and feel “home” and “yourself”

These desks are excellent. Three levels, the bottom two pull out. Very sturdy, beautifully made.

I use the bottom level for a regular qwerty keyboard. It’s lower than a normal office desk, but actually the correct height for typing—most office desks are too high.

does anyone have these? do decksavers fit ontop without moving the boxes a bit?
