Erasing all samples, patterns and banks. Possible?

Hi Elektronauts,

Is there a way to erase all patterns, banks, samples etc off the DT so that the DT is essentially empty of any content (including the factory content)?

I can do an empty reset from the startup menu but this leaves the factory content.

It seems like an obvious thing to want to do but theres nowhere I can see to do it…

Thanks!

I think you want format the +drive, from system menu…

Ahh… That does seem to erase everything except the 8 ‘Digit’ sounds. Thanks!

Prèss function while booting… Then empty reset un thé test mode… Black on white inthe thing called manual…

@LFO Yep as stated in the original post an empty reset from func/startup will erase all content except factory. However, only formatting +Drive from system menu will erase ‘most’ of the factory sounds/banks etc.

Strange that the Digit sounds are non-eraseable though even with the above.

ok sorry too speed to read properly…
i remenber there is a lock sign before the “factory” file name, maybe related…

I formatted the Drive last night, but couldn’t erase everything.

I then went to do an Empty Reset but selected Factory Reset but mistake. I then found ALL factory content back on the drive.

How is that possible if I’d formatted the drive?

The presets project and factory sounds are tucked away somewhere protected so you can do a factory reset even if you format the drive. Factory reset overwrites project slot 1 with the presets project and sound bank A with the factory sounds. Empty reset re-initializes the ram/active state to a blank project…
