Erasing plocks live during a show?

I’ve done a bunch of googling and I’m getting mixed information, plus my trials and errors aren’t giving me a definitive answer. I am recording live parameter automation and melodies on the OT with slices. Sometimes I want to erase all the Plocks for only 1 parameter. It seemed like, in live recording mode, I could hold down the NO button and press the parameter knob and it would erase them, but it only worked sporadically. ANy ideas?

How about copying the pattern before the live parameters and then when you’re ready to remove them all just paste the pattern you copied?

cause it means i’ll lose some of the parameter changes i do want. i do it all on the fly.

They way you’ve stated works for me but j don’t use it that often so there may be exceptions. Pretty sure it takes one pass to take effect

No + encoder will erase locks “timebased”, as long as you hold them. So if you want to get rid of it for the whole pattern length you do that one duration.

Ok. I’ll try it again tonight.

Gotcha, so that will clear ALL p-locks, assuming that means also slice locks, which would screw up my melody. I’ll experiment with it more this weekend.

Thanks!

I don’t know if this helps: http://web.archive.org/web/20150110044057/http://wiki.thestaticvoid.net/ElektronOctatrack/GeneralWorkflow

It says under Deleting & Clearing
In live record mode:
Erase all p-locks on playback position of active track: [FUNC]+[EXIT/NO] (doesn’t erase locked sample slots)

Erase locks for a particular parameter: [EXIT/NO] + [ENCODER]

That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks!
