Ext. In as Stereo?

In the manual it states: When using the Analog Four as a stereo filter, let track 1-2 take care of the left signal and track 3-4 take care of the right. Don’t forget to pan the synth tracks responsible for the left and right channels hard left and right. If you wish to control the FRQ or RES parameters of the left and right tracks simultaneously, use a performance macro.

Why do I need to use 2 tracks for each input?

You only need two tracks per input for -24dB filtering. Otherwise it’s -12dB.

There are two filters per track … the 2-pole multi-mode filter and the 4-pole ladder filter … so there’s already potentially a 6-pole LPF -36dB filter

I’ve no idea why they’d suggest that track layout - may even be a typo - nothing wrong with using two tracks, plenty of flexibility in that alone imho
