Yes indeed! The Octatrack more or less stabilized my workflow.

I seem to do three year cycles. Been doing this the last 20 years or so. Bought Maschine of a friend three years ago which I let go last year. Before that a stint with Ableton. In 2022 I went a bit overboard and bought (and sold) too much gear. Setup now digitakt, model cycles, as-1, mc-101, bluebox and a couple of effects.
Most things bought used so I shouldn’t lose too much when I in three years time again realize I suck at producing music and sell all of.
I’m full circus.

OMG oh no. 
With cheap I meant the small Arturias and the Behringers (in comparison with lets say: Moogs or Prophets). I´m sorry for the misunderstanding.
The Elektrons cost much. But relative to the capabilitys to other hardware they are very reasonable.
