Functionality for the blind

Here’s an idea I’ve not heard yet: perhaps elektron can be the first company to allow functionality catered to the blind. Not exclusively to blind people but simply a “blind” (for lack of better term at the moment) mode. An audible metronome-like blip or 2 blips or varied-pitched blips can confirm or unconfirm parameters or screens or maybe a slight vibration. Braille buttons. This would be a sweet sentiment to blind musicians and the world would love you for it. Imagine, a blind machinist on stage. Let me know if this has happened already somewhere.
And I also have a really great movie idea that elektron can be involved in if they want to call me in Chicago. PM me. I’d rather elektron gear be in my movie than, say, korg. Don’t everybody call at once now. And anybody on the north side of Chicago that needs an elektron mate, I’m here for ya. I got the MD, the OT, and the AK. Been working alone too long now.

I have thought about this a bit recently, since a blind OP-Z user posted on Reddit asking for a bit of guidance. It made me realise that the OP-Z isn’t actually as difficult to use without sight as I first imagined. Of course, it’s not easy, but it’s not impossible.

It’d be awesome if accessible synths became a thing, as it’d even benefit those of us without major impairment. Imagine being able to play an Elektron instrument like a guitarist or pianist who doesn’t have to look at the instrument while playing…

I’m not trying to be a dick here, and this community is really cool, but leaving any personal info like this on a forum that ANYONE can access might not be the best idea. Maybe ask to PM/DM instead of leaving a phone number?

Anyway, great idea and best of luck with the movie!

I appreciate that. Not the classiest thing I’ve ever done but what the hell. What’s the worst that can happen? I guess I trust all the people on this forum a little too much. Hold on…
some guy keeps calling me, talking about moonbeams and bunny rabbits or something. Kind of interesting actually. Anyway, I’ll chexk in later with how things transpire. And none of you nerds have the balls to call me and tell me what you think anyway. Just kidding. I’d be a little sad if nobody called actually. I have no idea how many people read these words everyday sooooooooooooooo, uh, whoops!
