I’ve been trying to get sync going correctly with the OT and Tempi, but its been a task because it seems that the Tempi didnt like the gate length coming from the OT. I’m using the Hexinverter Midi2CV, and with Elektron’s never stopping clock, you’ll have to use a track on the OT and send midi trigs form one of the OT channels and use one of the 4 gate outs on the Midi2CV unit.
So after much experimenting, I’ve discovered the Tempi like the trig length of 1/8 from the OT. This will keep the clock tight. If the trig length is shorter, the Tempi seems to drift off just a bit.
so how good is the sync from OT to Tempi? I have Pams old Workout and from what my experience is and from what I read on the internet, old Pams don´t like external sync that much to be tight on the grid (its always a litthe bit behind). So I was thinking about an alternativ. Stays Tempi tight on the grid? Are you happy with it?
Yeah once I got that gate length sorted out, its good. It’s still a clunky work around since the Elektron gear’s clock never stops running or resets when pressing play, but it works good enough to keep tight for long recording passes or just jamming and experimenting with patches.
