Help with my setup

Hi :wave:
I’ve the following:

  • Model:Cycles
  • Mikrokorg
  • Maschine Mk3
  • FL Studio
  • 1 midi cable

I cannot set this up properly (audio flow, and midi sync)

  1. Please keep in mind that Maschine is my audio interface.

  2. How do I connect audio cables (line in-out)?

  3. How do I sync model:cycles with fl studio?

  4. Do I need a mixer?

what problems are you running into?

I’d connect the Microkorg to the line inputs 1+2 of maschine, and the Cycles to the mic input of maschine with the volume low. sync cycles to FL by running midi out from maschine to the cycles midi in. You can also use a USB cable to connect the Cycles to your computer directly and send midi that way, which would free up your midi cable to use the korg as a midi controller or sequence it from FL studio.

You don’t need a mixer until you add more gear.

Thanks, just did what you recommended. The problem is I cannot hear the mikrokorg.

Also I hear a weird static sound from the cycles, is it headphones out from cycles or mono?

make sure you have your audio input and output ports configured correctly. I don’t know FL so can’t help. the cycles might be clipping if you’re going into a mic input, make sure the levels are right.
