Today was rehearsal with my girlfriend on our projet HoneyPoney. I recorded the master on computer and just sommarymasterized it… She is singing and getting fun with kaosspad and me on just black trinity… well" just"…, I mean… It stills tooooo much to be aware of all…
If you listen to it you will see that neither me or my girlfriend have, yet, all under control, cause I’ve changed lately my live rig…I’m not more playing with Virus TI nor the arranger on octatrack…and kaosspad is new lover of my gf…so, trying to do the thing more live to our live! …( that’s why we are doing some strange decisions on some moments… Hope with practice things will get better! Hope u like!
i like the composition. just needs some work on the levels. her vocals could sit better in the mix. but you got some good sounds and atmosphere. that whistle lead sound could be more prominent aswell. good job tho
Thanks man! glad u liked! For sure, levels not always easy, mostly with vocals…on rehearsal, over monitors, it seems ok, mais later often they are little big low…not exactly low, but as u say, it doesn’t sit always fine…Maybe i will relook to my routing, trying to record the vocals separate from master…and then mix it a little(compression,eq,level)…by the way, this was just an stereo out record from my mixer.
