How to Midi Routing?

Hello?
I have a Novation Peak, Dreadox Nyx and Moog Minitaur.
I am going to purchase Octatrack mk2.
This is my question.

I will control the synthesizer with Octatrack’s sequencer function.
To connect Octatrack mk2 to my synthesizer
What should I do?
Octatrack mk2 has only one midi out port
I use three synthesizers.
Octatrack I want to control all three of my synthesizers.

Do I need a separate Midi interface rather than a Midi cable?

possible solution exploration: OT midi out to Peak, Peak midi through to Minitaur, and just for fun use the Minitaur’s midi-to-cv conversion facility to then go Minitaur cv to Nyx control voltage gate input.

cool collection of sound making devices btw.

I believe the Nyx also has Midi Thru so you can just daisy chain OTinto Peak in-
Peak midI thru into Nyx in-Nyx Midi thru to Minitaur in.
Job done.

I’ll add it is better to use short midi cables for daisy chain (thru connexions chain).
With more synths, or synth without thru , you can use something like that : (Quadra Thru)

With or without thru, I can live…

short midi cables is a great pro tip, simple yet effective to maintain quickness of signal arriving to each device.

the rule of thumb for midi-through is no more than “two or three” devices.

i still think it would be fun to try out the Minitaur’s midi-to-cv converter facility option to then take a signal to the Nyx control voltage gate. Might not be the best option, but the rhythm feel could be funky.

Yes possible, as @Chinchilla mentioned.
@previewlounge I don’t know much about CV, I don’t use it for the moment.

@Zikk You have a lot to learn about midi apparently.
Usually, each midi instrument can use a midi channel, that you can set on Ot’s midi tracks.

It can be worse, you can loose informations > out of sync, stuck notes…
