I can't Stand my MatrixBrute

I just picked up a used Matrixbrute. I don’t have room for it. It’s huge, weighs a ton, and is totally impractical. My buyer’s remorse is so heavy that I just spent all morning drinking shower beers and singing Band on the Run.

But I did it and there’s no turning back. Now I need a stand for it. It’s too deep for my current two-tier. Anyone out there with an MB and some stand advice?

Mate thats serious. Sell it, pronto.

Sometimes I see new gear as just a mono ( or stereo ) output.

I must really like what comes out the output, otherwise all the bells&whistles don’t really matter.

Is that what you’re seeing?

Did you get it because of the control/flexibility you thought you were going to get out of it?

I fell for that a few times, but was lucky enough to be able to return the item.

I’m not trying to get back in the shower, @wGe23. Must look forward. Never look back.

Maybe an ironing board is the answer…

I love my MatrixBrute. Seriously. It is the exact opposite of my Elektron Boxes (which, so far, I also love). It is about as close to one knob per function as you can get, with tons of functions and therefore tons of knobs and buttons, ergo the size and the weight.

Yeah, I really think it’s a future classic. I’m kinda surprised it’s not more popular.

Hercules ks410b 2 tier stand.
My MB sits on top level no probs. Pretty strong. Depth fine and angle adjustable.

Nice. I wasn’t aware of this stand.

Got two of them. Definitely rate it. Top tier takes 40kg weight claimed. Bottom 130kg.

Hey, what happened to your heavy buyer’s remorse? Just kidding. I think you will find it gives such immediate access to all kinds of sound manipulation. I love setting up the macro knobs to do a whole bunch of things simultaneously with the Matrix. Kind of like the A4 performance mode.

As for a stand, I had an old double x frame synth stand and threw thick piece of plywood on it 60 inches x 30 inches. Now I can fit the MB, my Mother 32, Cobalt8 and Strymon BlueSky on it. I have only moved it once (I actually bought a gig bag for it to bring to my cabin. I have used it exactly once, due to the weight and bulk). Maybe that’s why its not so popular (for gigging anyway).
