I think the iConnect Midi needs the right set up. I allready checked that the input 1 is not routed to itself. But there must be another bug…
If you need more information please let me know.
My goal is to play a melody on my Novation that is recorded on a midi track on the Octatrack.
I know that with this setup I would not need the iConnect Midi, but since I would like to hook up my OP-1 and my iPad it needs to be done this way.
I was thinking about writing a small app to configure the iConnectMIDI (for windows/mac/linux). They only have an iPhone/Pad App to configure this beast.
I think the MIDI DIN connectors do not forward the data to their own outputs by default. So basically there should be no loop here!? Sorry that I can’t help you any better.
With MIDI loops you kinda just have to be methodical and test it all. I mean, hook up just the OT in and out, then just the novation. They both work ok? Then hook up both.
Does out + no in on the novation fix it? Make sure it doesn’t have an omni setting. Try in no out on the octatrack?
Dear all
I’ve tried several things. What worked from scratch was to connect the novation by usb instead of the analog midi cables. I can ashure you that there was and still is no difference in the setup of the iconnect midi…
Anyways. Now everything works and I allready had a lot of fun.
Thanks for your thoughts!
