I know Elektron machines are designed with each other in mind, but since I only have an OT I really have no idea how it would work with other Elektron hardware.
For those that have an Octa and other Elektron kit, how exactly do you use them together?
I can’t say I’ve read any threads relating to this topic, so I thought I’d ask
This forum is full of threads discussing the interactions between different Elektron instruments.
The OT can send:

[li] MIDI transport commands to start and stop other Elektron instruments[/li]
[li]MIDI clock signals to synchronize the tempo with other Elektron instruments[/li]
[li]MIDI notes from its sequencer to either play sounds on the other instruments or (for the MD, MM, and AF/AK only - not the AR) trigger patterns on the other instruments[/li]
[li]MIDI Control Change messages to change sound parameters on the other Elektron instruments[/li]
[li]MIDI Program Change messages to change patterns on the other instruments[/li]

The OT can receive all the above MIDI messages, and can obviously monitor, sample, and add effects to the audio from the other Elektron instruments (or anything else).
It’s a good idea to read the manuals for the OT and all the other instruments.
