What a coincidence that is.
I believe in coincidence less and less.
Hi, sorry I answered your question but I didnāt click reply.
Hopefully youāve seen it now.
Weāve extended the early-bird discount period till end of January.
So if you have music to release, this is the time to join!
Hope to have you onboard.
I get the feeling some might be a little suspicious of artcore or itās promotion, Iāll give you a break Iāve signed up and put out a releaseā¦
It was nice UX and pain free to navigate and straight forward to upload and prepare the release. Nice work and good luck with your endeavour @orbita
Do I really have to create an account just to listen?
Oh dear Iāve suggested an inline player would be great, I guess that is what beta programs aim to reveal, flaws/features such as this.
I can understand the need for full registration to post music but to just listen itās a bit much. Bandcamp and youtube donāt require that and last time I clicked a Spotify link (it was quite some time ago) it wanted me to create an account and I have consequently never listened to Spotify.
Not trying to harsh anyone with this, just my honest two cents.
As you say, that wouldnāt be be ideal at all. Thankfully, you wonāt need to soon.
Itās just currently in a private beta mode while I invite artists and labels on to the platform. iron out remaining issues and build up the initial music.
In a couple of weeks, Iāll make be making it public and you wonāt even need to register to purchase.
So far Iām only focussed on promoting it to producers/labels etc.
Sorry for any confusion and thank you for your candid feedback.
Hi @kryten42 welcome on board. Great to see that youāve created a release and found the UX worked well. Iāve spent a lot of time trying to get that right and intend to continue refining it.
Thanks for the feedback.
Great suggestion - Iāve added to the list. Planning to build various embeddable components and this would be very nice.
I want to get the core stuff working really well and then Iāll add the extra stuff.
Excellent! Please be sure that Iām behind you all the way and am glad that you didnāt take my criticism (which I hope was constructive!) in a bad way. Iām fairly new to putting out my own music. Bandcamp hasnāt done me wrong yet but given their new ownership I feel like itās only matter of time. Iām going to continue to mess around on that platform but youāre very likely to see me over your way somewhat soon too. I wish you success!
Can I put a release on your site and Bandcamp? Only asking as I have a lot of stuff there already. Cheers
Hi Francis.
Firstly, thanks for your interest.
Yes, you can - as long as you have the rights to publish your music then no problem. Neither Bandcamp nor Artcore restrict you from releasing your music on other platforms.
If you have a contract or licensed your music to a label or have an exclusive agreement with another platform, then you would need to check with them first.
Look forward to having you on board!
No, not at all. All feedback is valuable and I have a relatively thick skin
Thanks again and look forward to seeing your releases on the site!
Are you considering adding label services like generating codes for release?
Hi Tikoda, Thanks for the question. Iāll take any suggestions into consideration.
I presume you mean ISRC and UPC codes. Hopefully - Iāve started looking into those but itās non-trivial so will need need to better understand the requirements. I also plan to submit data to the charts.
Which other label services you would want?
Thanks!
Iām personally still not satisfied with any of the distribution services, something that did what your service does but also did the distribution to other services and codes etc would be awesome. Possibly too muchā¦ haha
Hello,
I never used bandcamp or beatport or anything else.
Maybe I can try your platform for my first experience.
Look interesting on the paper.
Edit: And the fact we can talk directly to the admin is a big advantage
