I’m thinking mainly of the very old/retro sounding hissy cymbal sounds, blippy snares, etc. I have old drum machine samples but would like to have more dynamic control over those type of sounds. Most of the drum presets I’ve heard on the A4 have been more modern/dance sounding.
Yes, absolutely.
Shameless plug:
There are a few of this type of sound in there.
Shameless problem solving plugs always welcome
I already have it but I think I was suffering from preset deafness when auditioning (sets in quite quickly for me, especially with drum samples/presets) so I’ll go back and have another listen.
Yes having another listen to your demo it’s clear there’s stuff in that ballpark. Time to clear some space on the A4 and load up the presets!
Generally for Kraftwerk kicks I tend to go for a short decay with quite a pitch sweep, and fairly low filter.
For snares fairly long noise decay and short body decay or even no body at all, tight enveloped bpf.
Cymbals and snares I tend to just use filtered noise for Kraftwerk style sounds.
Probably also worth making some really short clicks and “hi q” sounds too.
