Is the A4 with its four voices now "out of date"?

Since the discussion was analog I didn’t consider including them.

Nah. I often use it as an Analog 2 (just two voices) and it slaps. Here’s an example. Now it might sound like 90s techno… but that’s a different topic :sweat_smile:

Old topic but I think buying an A4 as your main synth if you need to make chords and pads is a bad idea. I have a few other synths for that task. The A4 is simply more than that. It’s almost like a modular shared system where you sit down and experiment with sound.

Anyway I am far from mastering mine. It’s not the unit I turn on when I need a quick idea to record or a giant chord progression.

I love that the first post declared the A4 at end of life back in 2017… 5 years later and its still such a powerhouse :smiley:

I haven’t had mine that long but I’m loving the sounds and enjoying learning it.

I’ve even plugged my modular in to it a few times too - now there’s an expansion route as long as a peice of string
